BTS are cooking something up for this summer and it’s bound to be sizzling. Earlier Monday morning, the septet revealed they will be dropping a new track for the summer titled “Butter.”

The reveal was first teased through an hour long YouTube video that featured noting more than kitchen sounds of pots and spatulas followed by sizzling. The visual was nothing more than a bright yellow screen that contained a square which slowly evolved into a piece of butter than slowly melted into a heart. The video ended with the reveal of the song title.

Shortly after, the news was official revealed on their Twitter account that “Butter” will be dropping on May 21st KST which will coincide with a physical copy of the single. A press release describes “Butter” as a “dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS.” The track is BTS’ second English-language single, following last year’s smash hit “Dynamite.”

This summer track is bound to be another chart topper and record breaker for RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. This comes to no surprise as they’re the first K-pop group to debut at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100. They hold the Guinness World Records for most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours (“Dynamite” hit 101 million views) and have beaten their own record for the best-selling South Korean album of all time.

This comes just days after BTS announced their collaborations with McDonalds for the celebrity meal as well as their partnership with fashion house Louis Vuitton. The year is not yet over but one thing’s for sure, ARMY and BTS are gearing up for a dynamite 2021.
