BTS has achieved yet auteur milestone in their illustrious career.

Their latest single, “Boy With Luv,” which features Halsey and is the lead single off Map of the Soul: Persona, debuted at No. 8 on Billboard Hot 100 chart. This not only makes it their highest charting single (“Fake Love” peaked at No. 10 in 2018) but the highest charting song by a K-pop group ever.

“Boy With Luv” has been breaking streaming records since its debut as it surpassed the 80 million record in the first 24 hours after its release and is currently at 190 million views and climbing. “Make It Right” (penned by RM and Ed Sheeran) also landed on the Hot 100 at No. 95.

BTS has also achieved another milestone with their latest album as Map of the Soul: Persona debuted No. 1 on the Billboard charts making it their third No. 1 album in just 11 months following the success of Love Yourself : Tear and Love Yourself: Answer between June 2018 to April 2019. This also makes them the first group since the Beatles to reach 3 number 1 albums in less than a year.

Earlier this month, BTS also became the first Asian act to pass 5 billion streams on Spotify and the first Korean act to perform on SNL, and were named among Time’s 100 Most Influential People. Up next for the biggest pop band in the world is performing “Boy With Luv” alongside Halsey at the Billboard Awards and kicking off their “Speak Yourself” stadium tour at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

It’s gearing up to be another amazing year for BTS.
