It’s been a whirlwind couple of months for BTS and it’s just about to get crazier. The Korean group now dubbed he biggest joy band in the world just released their newest album, Map of the Soul; Persona and have released the newest music video for their single , “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey.

The video dropped earlier today (11AM KST) after various teasers had been viewed and it received a tremendous welcome from their fan base. In their V Live broadcast, Jin describes the track as a “funk pop song with kitschy sound” which talks about attention and love for you and finding happiness in simple, uncomplicated love.

The music video is colorful and filled with their patented dance choreographies where we even see Halsey join in as she sings the chorus along with the group. It’s a fun filled vibe that makes you want to get up and dance along while joining the easy feeling they provide as they sing about love.

During their appearance at the Grammy’s, RM mentioned this album would be a way of giving back to the fans and in their V Live he said the album is all about learning more about ARMY. “Boy With Luv” showcases that in the lyrics as they sing “I’m flying high in the sky/With the two wings you gave me back then” a clear mention to their Wings era where speak about chasing their dreams, some of which have now come true.

The lyrics also say “When I realised that, I vowed to myself/With the wings of Icarus you gave me/Not towards the sun but towards you
Let me fly.” Referencing the Greek myth of Icarus but rather than flying to their deaths into the sun (perhaps a regency to the media spotlight) they fly towards their fans, their Army who gave them wings and let them be themselves.
