On the road of life there are old friends, new friends, and stories that change you.

This is the message the new Toy Story 4 trailer wants to impart on us as we see our beloved friends embark on a new adventure.

In previous Toy Story films we’ve seen Woody and the gang have adventures indoors but this will be the first time we see them leave their hometown as they embark on a family road trip with Bonnie. When her new craft toy, Forky, has a crisp regarding his “toy” identity and runs away, Woody gives chance causing Buzz and the rest of the toys to embark in a new adventure as they try to being Woody and Forky back home.

In this journey Woody meets an old friend, Bo Peep, who opens his eyes the perils — and freedoms — that come with being a plaything with no person to play with.

The trailer also gives us glimpses into some new characters and the villaij of the story: Duke Caboom, a motorcycle-riding stuntman action figure voiced by Keanu Reeves; Officer Giggle McDimples, a tiny police officer toy and Bo’s feisty sidekick, voiced by Ally Maki; and Toy Story 4’s big bad villain, Gabby Gabby, a creepy pull-string doll from the 1950s (voiced by Christina Hendricks) who commands a gang of ventriloquist dummies inside a vast antique shop.
