Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 was written decades ago but many of the events described within its pages have come to pass. The era of interactive technology and brain numbing entertainment reigns but we at least still have literature to protect.

Now, HBO has adapted he book into a tv film starring Michael B. Jordan as Guy Montage, a firefighter who is supposed to set fires instead of putting them out. In this dystopian world it is against the law to read and posses books which is why firefighters set ablaze the homes of those who seek knowledge and hide precious literary works. But, what happens when Montag gets a taste of what’s written on paper and has his mind opened to the possibilities of what he’s missing what if everything he bought was right is wrong?

Fans of Bradbury’s work will be thrilled to finally see this classic cautionary tale brought to life. Take a look at the teaser trailer below.

Fahrenheit 451 will premiere in May on HBO.
