A week ago, LA based singer, Lostboycrow brought his “Spin The Globe” tour to San Francisco. The show was the conclusion to a very successful tour of numerous sold out shows across the states. The San Francisco show was to be held at a well known intimate local venue, Cafe Du Nord. Many new fans were in attendance and expressed their endless anticipation to experience Lostboycrow live.

The much awaited show kicked off with Rising star, DYSN. LA based DYSN is an artist who is not afraid to be vulnerable with his music. Armed with his guitar and his drummer, Carlos Lopez, DYSN sang his songs full of soul baring emotion with an nonchalant too cool for you swagger. The healthy crowd was captivated by the stories and intimate soundscapes being performed. Towards the end of his set, DYSN brought out Prelow’s Matt Walsh to help him perform their hit single, “I R L”.

When Prelow hit the stage to commence their own set, there was an unspoken excitement in the air. Many fans had their drinks in their hands as they sang and danced along to the New York based duo performing their popular singles such as the highly addictive, “Backseat” and the electrifying “I Don’t Wanna End The Night”. Prelow not only exceeded my live expectations but also surprised me with their lively stage presence as they performed their intricate stories about the many facets of love, lust and New York.

As the night continued, the fans gathered around the intimate stage to catch a closer look at the man of the night, Lostboycrow. The night was full of infinite yearning for bay area fans because it had been almost a year that the singer had performed in San Francisco since his 2016’s “feels like home” tour, a co-headlining tour with his best friends, Indie synth pop band, flor.

Lostboycrow began his live set with his exhilarating single, “Spin The Globe” in which his audience connected with immediately. Lostboycrow’s live shows never disappoint, he influences his audience to dance and sing without a care in the world. Lost boy’s stage presence reached new heights, not only did he mesmerize his audience with his passionate vocal range and dance moves but in his sincere sentimental way of performing.

The song list was flawlessly pieced together with most fan favorites such as “Where It All Goes, “Talk Back to Me”, “Powers” and a surprising live rendition of “Thursday” mixed in with the recent singles from his Two Legends, “Missing London”, “All My Lives at Once”, “Traveler”, “Real Name” and “If I Change”.

One of the many highlights of the night was when Lostboycrow performed his emotive single, “Missing London” where his band members, drummer, Cole Peterson and guitarist/keyboardist Michael Angeles played an extremely mystical live rendition of the song as Lostboycrow sang his heart out.

The defining moment of the night, however came on later in the evening when the wildly popular “Real Name” was played. Lostboycrow asked his audience to help him sing the song lyric, “All my friends” at the latter part of the song. It truly was an unforgettable ending to an enchanting night. While the first part of the “Spin The Globe” tour has concluded, keep an eye out for future announcements on new tour dates of the next upcoming tour coming soon!
