Indie Pop singer, Billie Eilish is best known for her angelic vocal range and soul baring songwriting. Eilish recently released her latest glittering EP, Don’t Smile At Me with accompanying first headlining tour bearing the same name and I was lucky enough to attend her show in San Francisco.

The night began with a long line of excited fans standing outside the venue reaching around the block by the time the doors opened. The venue was tightly packed with fans by the time, opening act, Thutmose hit the stage. The Brooklyn based rapper had the crowd lit up with his contagious energy and laidback rhyming skills. By the time, Eilish hit the stage, her fans were sweaty and ready to dance with her.

Eilish had a minimal stage setup, only accompanied by her brother/co-songwriter/producer Finneas O’Connell playing the guitar. The lively set started with the feisty “Copycat” and as Eilish began jumping and dancing on stage, the crowd began dancing with her as the passionate screams became overwhelmed with love.

The stage presence of Eilish can be described as fearless. She may be young in age but she commands the stage like only a seasoned performer can. Eilish’s live vocals are ultra delicate and vulnerable specially in her slow ballads such as “Idontwannabeyouanymore”, “Ocean Eyes” and her new song, “Listen”.

At the end of the night, Eilish took the time to meet her fans and while some fans cried or showed her their fan art, she gave her undivided attention to each fan. Eilish is not only a very talented artist beyond her years but has no problem letting you know what’s on her mind while still remaining humble.
