Last week, singer-songwriter Allan Rayman brought his second leg of his headlining tour, “Hotel Tour” to San Francisco. Having previously experienced Rayman live (when opened for James Vincent McMorrow’s 2016 winter tour and having previously attended his spring leg of the “Hotel Tour”), my expectations were high.

The exciting night commenced with the opening act, Mariachi San Francisco, a full fledge mariachi who serenaded the crowd with their romantic love odes in Spanish.

The crowd’s energy flew to its highest as the man of the hour came on stage. Those who have heard of Rayman before know that he is a multi talented artist who is bringing back the mystery to the music industry. Rayman limits his speaking through the media, he prefers his art to speak for itself. However, in live shows, he sheds the barriers and exposes his demons as he delivers his trance like performances.

The lively set included most of the fan favorite singles such as “Tennesse”, “All at Once”, “Beverly” to his newest exciting singles, “13”, “Faust Road”, “25.22” and “Word Of Mouth” among many others.

Rayman the performer is a sight to behold. He moves his body almost like a visual interpretive dancer as his gritty rasp becomes overwhelmingly richer and sentimental as he sing about his endless struggles between himself and his alter ego, Mr. Roadhouse, backed by extraordinary electric guitar playing provided by his guitarist Jessy Aarons.

In the midst of his busy touring schedule, Rayman announced a follow up to his latest album, Roadhouse 01, a new collection of songs under the name COURTNEY which drops on November 10th. You can find the talented singer touring throughout the states and Canada this fall/winter at a venue near you!
