A few days ago, I attended the opening night of indie pop band, courtship’s fall tour with special guest, Saint Mesa. I had high expectations for both bands from many good reviews and both bands proved them right.

I traveled to Berkeley to a new intimate concert venue called Cornerstone where I saw there was already a tight knit group of fans front row by the stage. The showroom provided excellent views of the cozy stage and I was excited to finally get to opportunity to experience Saint Mesa live.

Saint Mesa has been in my radar since last year’s Jungle EP, which was previously featured on one of our Music Mondays. Saint Mesa live consists of a full band of electrifying musicians with ultra stylish singer, Danny Mc Cook at the forefront. Saint Mesa provided magnificent, savory live performances of “Roses“, “Beads” and “Jungle” among others. I was very impressed witnessing the passion of the band throughout their rocking set.

Next up were the stars of the night, LA based Indie band courtship. who redefined the true meaning of intimate show and left everyone stunned when band members’ Eli and Micah began setting up their instruments on the crowd floor right next to the fans. Excitement built throughout the room and everyone began dancing as the band began their energetic live set. courtship. performed their best known singles such as “Perfect People“, “Sail Away” which led to the live debut of their catchy new single, “Tell Me Tell Me“.

The band provided unpredictable joy and freedom to get lost in in their music and provided a delightful good time without a care in the world.

Be sure to check out courtship. live on tour with special guest, Saint Mesa.
