Comic Con is the epitome of fandom geek out as studios cater to old and new hard core comic fans. Now that DC has conquered the TV super hero front this is the perfect venue to tease fans of what is to come in their favorite TV series.

Warner Brothers television kicked things off with The Flash panel, a show that was birthed from Arrow but has quickly began to eclipse its predecessor. As was revealed just weeks ago, the Flashpoint timeline will bring a lot of new foes and rework relationships between friends and enemies. “We’re doing two big bads,” executive producer Todd Helbing revealed. “One is a speedster that we’ll reveal later. The other, the creepy guy with the mask, is Doctor Alchemy. He certainly doesn’t like The Flash. He’s a bad dude and he’s going to be a formidable adversary to The Flash and everybody throughout the season.”

Season 3 will pick up three months after Barry altered the timeline and will have a ripple effect on other shows and cities nearby. For starters, Diggle’s life is personally affected and Felicity will be paying a visit to Central City on the second episode of the season to offer Barry some advice.

Fans of the Barry-Iris romance will be happy to hear we’ll get to see Barry wooing Iris. However, he will also ned to hold Joe together as he spirals into a deep depression due to his troubled relationship with his only daughter. No hints at who the new Team Flash will include since seems like Cisco is not an ostentatious billionaire and Wally is Kid Flash.

As previously announced, Barry will also have a new rival in Tom Felton’s Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI who suspects something is off with Barry. “Any character I play you should see as a threat,” he said. “There’s definitely some friction between Barry and Julian. He treads on the toes of Barry’s expertise. There’s some feathers ruffled pretty early on.”

The Flash returns Tuesday, October 4 at 8 p.m. on The CW. For now take a peek at the Season 3 sizzle reel that dropped during the panel.
