Kendrick Lamar waa the big winner of the 2016 Grammy awards as he walked away wih 5 of the 11 awards he was nominated for including Best Rap Album for To Pimp A Butterfly, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Alright,” and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “These Walls.” His fifth award was for Best Music Video as part of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video.

Speaking of Swift, she had the honor of opening the awards ceremony with a rendition of her latest single, “Out of the Woods” and was a winner of 3 awards herself including Album of the Year for 1989.

Other winners of he night were Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars who won Record of the Year for “Uptown Funk,” and Meghan Trainor, who took Best New Artist award.
