With still nearly a month to go until The Revenant lands in theaters in a limited capacity, 20th Century Fox has released new footage and images for the film Leonardo DiCaprio calls “the most difficult” he has “ever done.” The new Japanese trailer and TV spot showcases the difficulties of the outdoors and intensity of the shoot, aside from the opening, the rest of the visuals are wordless.

Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. The Revenant opens in select theaters on December 25th and expands wide on January 8th, 2016.
