On tonight’s American Idol final Jennifer Lopez announced that she will begin a Vegas residency show on January 20, 2016.

The rumors about JLo heading to Las Vegas have been circling for months, and it’s only now that they can stop as Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino confirms that Lopez will bring her moves to the AXIS Theater.

“I’ve been preparing for this moment my entire life,” said Lopez about the announcement. “The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love – Dance, Hip Hop, Latin and Pop. It’s going to be the show I’ve always dreamt of creating.”

Tickets for the first 20 performances will go on sale to the public this Saturday, May 16 at 10 a.m. PT. American Express Card Members will be able to purchase tickets as soon as tomorrow. The first 20 performances have already been confirmed. Opening night is scheduled for January 20, 2016, followed by six additional shows that month and more performances in the months of February, May and June.

According to Caesars Entertainment, “the nearly two-hour show will feature all her hit songs, supported by a live band and dancers, featuring extravagant costumes and state-of-the-art technology in sets, lighting, video and special effects.” They go on to say that the Vegas Residency will be the only opportunity to see JLo perform live in North America. “It will be a totally unique production, where the audience will be able to experience Lopez up close and personal, yet larger than life.”

Tickets range in price from $59 to $219, and there are VIP packages available that include the possibility of meeting Jennifer Lopez herself. For more info about tickets visit JLoVegas.com.

JLo is the latest pop star to join the Strip, just a few days after Mariah Carey premiered her own Vegas residency. Lopez will in fact share a theater with Britney Spears, who started her Piece of Me residency at the AXIS at the end of 2013 and is expected to remain there until at least 2017.
