Actress Emma Stone will star as Sally Bowles in the hit revival of Cabaret, marking the star’s Broadway debut.

Stone had been in negotiations to star in the theater production since before the first season, but scheduling conflicts with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stopped her from taking on the classic role, which eventually went to Michelle Williams. Now, word has surfaced that Emma Stone will replace Williams when her extended run comes to a close on November 9.

Emma Stone has signed to play Sally Bowles from November 11 through February 1, 2015.

In the play, Sally Bowles is a second-rate Brit singer living in Weimar-era Berlin, determined to bury her head in decadent partying and ignore the encroaching rise of the Nazis. The production stars Alan Cumming, Linda Emond and Danny Burstein. It is directed by Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall.

Cabaret’s limited run will play through March 28, 2015.
